Supplies
- 5 - 7 -one-quarter yard
pieces of fabric Fat quarters will work. They should go well together
and have a range of lights darks and mediums, solid to medium scale
prints; large prints will be lost in the cutting. Warm and cool colors.
- Warms: red, yellow, pink and orange, some purples
if they have more red than blue
- Cools: blue green, black, purples that tend towards
blue
- An easy way to choose
fabrics is to find one multi-colored print you like with both warm and
cool colors, then draw your other fabrics from those colors.
4 copies
of the pattern
copied onto paper piecing fabric, if you have it or on regular copy

copies made at any copy center if you don’t have your own copier.
Sewing
